Rear turn signals and license plate lighting

I have a Standard '99 Valky black and silver, and have polished a few bits and pieces, here and there. I did the wheels and they turned out awesome. Next in line is to do the center hub on the left side of the rear wheel, do something with the rear disc, possibly make a rotor out of 410 Stainless, and polish or chrome the rear brake plate and caliper.   - I keep looking at the rear turn signals and plate lite set-up and I'm not sure I like it. I'm looking for custom ideas. What have you done? And got any photos?

Jeff (not sure of his handle on here anymore, it used to be JetDriver) did some nice things with clear lenses and LEDs. I'm sure he can get you the link for what he did.

Or, if you want to keep the turn signals where they are, but dress them up nicely, you can switch out the lens with Kuryakyn's deep dish bezels:

Jim, what shade of red is your Valk?  Very unique color and probably one of a kind.  Nice modded taillights/turn signals also.

It is called Khona Red, (alsa paints, Hawaiian hues) I was actually looking for something that had more brown in it to look like red oxide primer. When I opened the paint I was hoping it would dry darker.

I had a window weather wise to paint it in March and I did not want to wait for the paint to be sent back to California where they mixed it. I just wanted to get it done. (now I wished I had waited) I may re-do it in a year or two anyway. Yes it is one of a kind, it is actually a rubberized top coat.

Part of me wants to do a semi-simple stockish clean up and leave it alone, and the other part of me wants to take the plunge and do a complete clean up something like photos here. I may as well throw in pics of the rear brake and rotor cleanup I'm shooting for too.

I didn't really do anything to change the external look of the lighting system- it's all LED trickery inside the stock housing.  It's all meant to be safety enhancing, not customizing for customizing sake.  Having said that, I'll see if I can't dig up the list of what I did.  One external change I did make was adding a license plate holder exactly like JimC's photo, except I mounted mine upside down so the LED strip (very bright, by-the-way) is on the bottom.
