TAZ and I had talked about doing another ride in the Mt. Horeb, WI area this summer. We had one last spring and it was a good time with twisty, hilly roads and great food. Just wondering if anyone would be interested in doing another ride during the week of August 3-8 at some point. I'll be visiting family in Barneveld and plan to ride down. I'll be there either way, so hopefully some of you WI/IL/IA folks (TAZ, TurnBoy, Chicago Mark, Fritz, Jack, Cholla, TrickyD, Cookiedough, etc.) will be up for some miles and good food!

The Grumpy Troll is a local restaurant and brewery that has great food-- even fried snickers!!!

We had breakfast at this local joint last spring. Good stuff for sure: http://www.hootervilleinn.com/

What do you say, folks! Come enjoy the Driftless Area of Southwestern Wisconsin! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Driftless_zone

Sounds like a plan.  Hopefully by then I am working 2nd shift and can ride in the morning (9-noonish) at least for a few hours since only 35 minutes away Tuesday-Friday.  No plans, as of yet, for the weekend either probably Saturday would be best.   Give me a jingle 1-2 days ahead of time.

I may be enticed to attend! Grin You guys plan your plan and I'll see if I can make it over that way on Saturday.  Google says I'm about 4 hrs away from Mt. Horeb, so maybe I could find you guys where you plan to have lunch.  We'll keep in touch as it gets closer... Thanks Nitro Ol' Buddy!

Sounds good. It'd be good to ride with you again, Roger! And good to ride with you the first time, Cookiedough!

Any good backroads Nitro you were thinking of taking?  I know the area south and east of Mount Horeb, but not north and west.  Also, what's up with Nitro vs. Nitrojunkie name change?

Last year we headed from Mt. Horeb toward Spring Green and then north. Taz and I hit some roads near Barneveld, but I think we'll be pretty wide open. As long as it's crooked and paved it's fair game.

I decided simpler was better, so I dropped the junkie330 portion of my handle. It also matches my bike!

Sounds good to head N/NW/even SW vs. SE since I know that area.  I see it looks like you got the wider/taller windshield and where did you get the 'NITRO' emblem from since I'd like to get one named 'COOKIE' on my I/S.  You better watch out though naming a bike 'NITRO' since those HD boyz will all want to race you thinking you have nitrous onboard.  Grin  Either they will want to race, or back down in shame after seeing your engine and chrome and 'NITRO' emblem.  Grin

Unless someone makes a car named the "cookie" I don't know how to help you out. This was made for a Dodge Nitro.

Looks like the Troll Stroll will be postponed until later in August. TAZ is out camping and others are busy as well.

I'll still be down that way if others want to get together for a day ride or something. Let me know!

SORRY. Had this camping trip planned as a annual friends get together. I am open most other but not this month. Plus my pc messed up again and has thrown me into another loop using my blackberry. Think I have a bogus program via a data update getting really sick of these and I have MacAfee Security Suite go figure!
