I'd like to replace the stock rear passenger backrest on my 97 standard with a wider one. It would be more comfortable for my wife and daughter. They both like riding on my 91 Wing better than the Valkyrie because of the trunk to lean back on. I'd like to get them to ride with me on the Valk too, so who makes a wide backrest for my ladies comfort?

I believe that the Corbin backrest is wider. I have seen a couple of OEM wider backrests for sale on Ebay, too, but not many.

Honda made their own wider backrests? I did not know that. I guess I'll go try E-Bay. Thanks

Like I said, I think I've seen one or two over the last few years. I specifically remember one listed as "extra wide OEM sissy bar pad" for the Valkyrie. It was new in the box. This was a year or so ago.
You could also try a seat cover place and see what they could do to widen your current backrest.

We bought a Mustang backrest and the wife likes it better than the stock one. It also bolts right on to the stock sissy bar...

I have a Mustang wide backrest that I would sell, it is the vintage plain (no studs). It is in real nice condition if you are interested.

Ricoman, The Mustang backrest is on its way from Buster. I'll let you know what I'm going to do with the stock one.
