Can anyone give an advise on how to wire up Hyper Lights on a 2000 IS?

My IS came with them, but I do know that the previous owner used splice-in connectors on the left taillight wiring in the trunk. If you remove the two screws in the back of the taillight wiring (inside the trunk), you can pull the whole housing out and the wiring will be exposed. Just figure out which wires do the braking and splice in as needed.

As a side note, I would recommend soldering the connections and NOT using the splice-ins. I had to pull all of the splices out because of a poor connection interfering with my taillight.

Thanks for the reply.  At least now I know what wires to look for.  On my previous ST forum, there was a detailed diagram depicting color-coded wires and a step by step instructions.  I'll post the results of my project.

The Clymer service manual includes a color-coded wiring diagram. I have it around here somewhere and will look when I get a chance. A write up with pictures would be great though.

If you use your left tail/brake light in the trunk, you have a red/green, a green, and a brown/white wire.

red/green = brake lights
green = ground
brown/white = running light

You should be able to hook into the red/green to activate your hyper lights.
