Curious about something.I want to change the gear drive oil in my 2000 I/S and the shop manual says Hypoid Sae 80 and I have Hypoid Sae 80-W90 is that close to the same??....or should I be getting the exact stuff. From what I know about oils I think the one might break down or get thinned out more then the other is that true??....
help please!

That is fine.  For the little we use, I run synthetic in mine.

I have to do mine too.  I always add a little Moly additive into the final drive.  Can't hurt.
