If you have completed the Super Valk conversion, how did you run the tail light wiring and where did you splice into the trunk's brake lights?
I have a tail light, but its wires were clipped pretty close to the socket. I've added trailer wiring and am ready to splice into the trunk lights, but am unsure of where to splice into the cable. A hint or two would be great. If you have pictures, even better!
Thanks,

After having my Interstate vandalized... we decided to convert it to a SuperValk. Loren did all the work himself, so I emailed him this question. Here's his response - I do have LOTS of pictures from beginning to end I'd be happy to send you if that would help. The end result was beautiful... loved it/etc. (same color as your pic BTW) Let me know how/if I can help. Excuse the typos/etc. hahaha
I ran new tail light wires from the side cover area ahead of the trunk tail light plugs I ran the new wire, a weather proof extension cord I purchased behind tyhe side cover, under the seat, behind the shock, behind the right saddlebag, across the dual back antenna license plate mount, and behind the plate, to the tail light, with lots of zip ties of course you could see it a couple inches if you were really looking for it, between the rear of the bag, and the antenna mount but it was the easiest way for me to figure it out I also used the same wires to power the led brake light license plate frame which was needed since the stock tail light is just not enough to be seen well It was the toughest part of the conversion, to get a tail light on that back fender I never did get the tail light mounted as it was suppose to, just got one side and used zip ties to secure it the rest of the way something just wouldnt line up, dont remember what it was it was a pain for sure The results were great, even for a tool impared , half blind, goldwing rider

I just finished mine today, I spliced the tail light and ground wire to the lic plate harness connector which is right by the tail light under the fender ,Then I ran one wire for the brake light from the side cover connector for the trunk along the original lic plate harness under the fender. I have an led tail light bulb so I did not worry about overloading to lic plate light circuit,

Challenger, thanks for the information. Which LED bulb are you using?

lweekswi or jj_WA, I am trying to get the items needed to convert to the supervalk, and would be very interested in the above mentioned email/pic's. Also did either of you have the cb to have to deal with in the conversion?

I am considering an Interstate purchase, and would want to do this modification too. Would it be possible for someone to email me the pictures too? I am a visual guy.
Thanks much!
