When viewing the forum, it shows who is on at the same time. I wish there was a way to contact that member in real time, to let them know I am on also. Then we could switch to chat or something. I think it would be a very useful feature.
For example, this morning when on, I see "mare" was on at the same time. I wish I could have sent her a message, and she received it immediately, and maybe we could talk.
Same with others I know. If I was on, and say Timmer came on, and wanted to talk to me, he could IM me, the forum would notify me right away, and we could "talk".
Any one else interested, and could it be done?

If one could click on the name of the other person shown on the subject, then a window for a message would pop up. Send them a quick message, and their computer screen would pop up with that message right in front of them would work great. Then, they would have the option to reply.
Could move it over to chat then. If then, the names of those in chat were displayed to others right at the top of the forum board so all could see in real time, I think we could make the chat room work MUCH better. As it is now, there is almost no way to link up together.
Any other ideas, and what do you all think?

Have you looked to see if it would be possible to instantly contact a member if you see they are on the board the same time you are? I think it would be a great feature.
I have been on sites where you can do that. If you see someone is on, you can click their name, and send them an IM, that will show up on their screen that they have an IM. They then have the choice if they want to respond or not.
Can you find out if it is possible, and if it would cost some extra $ or not?

Yes, I have checked for something like that but have not found anything yet that works on this forum board. I am continuing to look and will add once I find something that works with our software. In the mean time have to keep using the IM part of the board.
