Hey Guys and Gals! I am hoping somebody here can help me with what I thought is a really minor problem that isn't turning out that way!
Just a quick refresher... I had a 2001 Valk Standard. It was too large for me and I sold it and bought a Vulcan 1500FI Classic. I am happy but I miss the Valk. I recently purchased a totally custom 1976 Goldwing and I am restoring it. It has a carb set up from a 1981 GL1100 and while I was refreshing the carbs I broke one of the brass float bowl drain screws. Seems like an easy get right?? NOPE. I tried every place I could find online, salvage yards, ebay... everywhere. Can't get the screw seperately... and it I want it from a salvage yard I need to buy the entire 4 carb assembly!
Any suggestions on what I should do are greatly appreciated. I was even considering mixing up some JB Weld and just filling in the screw hole.

No way to retap for a size you can get off a different carb or maybe you can order a bowl drain screw from HDL for the valk and retap for that size?

I am going to end up retaping it for a standard sized screw. This is one of the first "WTF"'s that I have encountered on a Goldwing or a Valkyrie. Usually.. everything is very well thought out. Not these silly brass carb drain screws. The thread is extremely fine and the metric size is not standard.
