Taz, when you have time, please check out the "show unread posts since last visit" button. It usually only shows one post for me even though there are several new posts in several threads.

Don,
I think that is something you can do in your profile area....to make those come up for you, check it out and see, there are some choices everyone can make on there for various things to help them along and have or not have....
Thanks

Taz I scoped out all my options and couldn't find it. On the sites that I help moderate on it's an administrative option. I thought it might be a glitch since a thread or two only show after the search. I like to do a search new post search instead of forum jumping to save time. Clicking on New Posts on the thread links carries me down the thread....

If you go up to the top left of your screen under your name you will see SHOW UNREAD POSTS SINCE LAST VISIT....click on that and that should help you out.....

Go to PROFILE at the top, look for Notifications, read along the right side. If you want to be notified of any post in a certain forum once you get to that forum look towards the top and there is a button that reads NOTIFY, click on that and answer the question about being notified.
You should get a list of most new post by going up by your name in the upper left corner and it says SHOW UNREAD POSTS SINCE LAST VISIT, click on that, there is another one right under it for REPLIES to your posts.
Let me know how that works for you.
Thanks,
TAZ

Taz, my right hand avatar is gone for some reason, I was messing with the settings the other day. When I clicked on the link you suggested, it only shows one thread with one post even though several threads are updated. Thats why I thought it was a site issue.

Figured out why I wasn't getting "Unread posts since last visit"....... I didn't log out last visit!!!
Be sure to log out of the board then everything works fine.

Me neither. It worked for a long time, but it has recently stopped. TAZ, is there help for this?

Still working fine for me as long as I log out. Using Firefox and "Show unread posts since last visit".

I am not sure why acouple of you don't get the new messages, maybe clear your cache and or hit the REFRESH button to clear it. Make sure you are clicking on the LOGOUT at the top of the page too and not just closing your browser. That should help I hope. I will take a look at your settings as well to see if I see anything.
